Zoe-perry

Perry was born to actor Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. The first time she appeared on TV was two roles as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) on her role on the ABC sitcom Roseanne as the character played by her mother. Parents, however, didn't want her to perform until she turned older and worried about the consequences of stress. Perry was shy throughout high school and didn't act. The actress began her acting career in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends as she transferred to the university from Boston University. Perry following her graduation from Boston University, relocating in New York in search of TV roles. She landed small parts on shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. But, her home-sickness drove her to California to pursue theater opportunities. In 2013, she was a part of The Other Place on Broadway alongside her mother. Her father was also in the production. Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in the year 2015 on The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry played a role in 9 episodes of the ABC film The Family in 2016. Perry was a regular character in the ABC Drama about politics Scandal which starred her father. That same year she appeared as a child-like version of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory) playing her mother in a youthful version. The actress was chosen for the character despite her connections to the character's family.
