Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox was admitted by the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 70s, where she studied the flute piano and harpsichord during three years. Lennox was able to survive on a student allowance and part-time work to help supplement her income. Lennox was a student at the Royal Academy of Music in London, was not happy in her performance when compared to her fellow students. Then she began to consider other options. Lennox was first introduced to the world of music in 1976 as a musician with the group Dragons Playground. The group didn't be able to make it onto the talent competition New Faces on I.T.V. The singer was the primary voice in The Tourists a British pop group from 1977 until the year 1980. It was during this time that she got to know Dave Stewart with whom she formed Pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox started working for her debut solo album Diva in 1992. The album was an enormous success both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs Six solo album was released in the month of October 2014. included Nostalgia Lennox. This C.D. is a selection of Lennoxs most loved blues, soul and jazz tracks that she grew up with. Lepidoptera is a collection of four improvised tracks for piano that Lennox dropped in May 2019. The E.P. The E.P. is an accompaniment to an art installation she made at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called Now I Let You go... This is her first self-released album.
