Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954, was born in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox studied flute, piano and harpsichord while at the Royal Academy of Music London for three years in the 70s. Lennox's budget was increased by the stipend of a student, and she worked part-time to earn a living. While in the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied by her performance in comparison to her fellow students and was contemplating a different path she might follow. Lennox started her professional career in 1976 when she was a member with the group Dragons Playground. She quit the group just before their appearance on I.T.V's talent show New Faces. Between 1977 and 1980 She was the main vocalist of The Tourists, a British Pop group. In this band, she met Dave Stewart who would later be part of Eurythmics. Lennox began to work on her debut solo album Diva in the year 1992. It became a huge hit both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo album came out in November of 2014. This C.D. Lennox has selected her favourite blues music, soul and jazz songs. Also, in May of 2019, Lennox came out with Lepidoptera the collection of four improvised piano tracks. The E.P. This album also serves as a companion to her new album, Now I Let you go... artwork, which was displayed at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. It is also her first release on her own. Annie Lennox born December 25 1954 is an Scottish social activist, politician and music producer and singer. She had a small amount of successes as a part of the band called The Tourists in the late 1970s she and fellow musician Dave Stewart went on to become internationally renowned as the duo known as Eurythmics in the late 1980s. Lennox made her debut as a solo artist after 1992's release of her debut album Diva, which featured many popular songs like"Why" as well as Walking through the Broken Glass. Medusa The album she released in 1995 studio, features cover versions of the songs No MoreI Love Yous or The Whiter Shade of Pale. Her solo studio albums of six, and one compilation album, are to her credit. |
