Lita Rossana Ford (also known as Lita Ford) is an British born American singer on guitar who took as the lead vocalist for The Runaways a female hard rock group from the 1970s. They were noticed for their provocative lyrics and punkish fashion. It wasn't possible for The Runaways to become popular in America, but they gained a lot of attention in other countries particularly Japan. Ford embarked on a heavy-metal solo career when the group broke up in 1979. After taking lessons in singing, she debuted her own solo album, 'Out For Blood'. This was followed by the release of her second album, 'Dancin"On The Edge'. Ford disappeared for a few decades from the world of music after the two albums didn't draw the attention they deserved.
